NOTE - Many of you already FUBAR'd your rotation because you still had TIME as the Usage setting. I fixed your rotations. Or some of you have five listed in rotation, but rotation size set to just 4. Also adjusted/fixed. If you don't like my adjustments, please undo them!

NOTE - Also had to adjust a few Versus parameters under a saved lineup to match the text (e.g., vs RHP) you wrote above the saved lineup. The computer manager uses the Versus setting, not your text.

MPs ready for Series 01: I counted seven MPs posted.

Again, rules of game play:
1. Do not play a series as the home team without first receiving a
season start MP from the visiting team owner.  Check the message board
especially for posted MPs. After Series 01, please e-mail visiting
owner if MP not listed as ready. The key is communication. Talk to
your opponent!
2. Always check the opposing team's rotation; pitchers should not
start tired unless stated otherwise by manager.
3. Honor system here; do not restart games once they've started unless
there is an obvious mistake discovered immediately upon starting
(e.g., see #2 above, you accidentally let a tired pitcher start for
opposing team)
4. You must have 25 or 26 active players at all time.  No more.  No
fewer than 25.

Reminder - we are sticking to home-and-away six-game series each week
against the same opponent.

Post your season-start MPs here. Double-check your league file roster with the website roster. Report any discrepancies. 

Remember to set the Versus parameter correctly underneath your saved lineups. Remember to set the Usage and rotation size to your preference under your starting rotation. NL teams are using the DH. 

Even if you're submitting claims on free agents, might be helpful to still submit an MP, especially if you start the season on the road.

Use this thread to announce your LTCs. 

The rules of LTCs:


4.5 - Long Term Contracts

      4.5.1 - After the draft (but before either the TRHL or MLB season starts, whichever comes first), a team may sign zero, one or two players (a "Contracted Player") to a long-term contract.

      4.5.2 - Contracted Players are retained for two years beyond the current year, with no further salary increase. Example: after the 2005 draft, the Halifax Whitecaps sign Todd Helton to a Long Term Contract. Helton will then be eligible to remain with the Whitecaps (or his new team if he is traded) for 2005, 2006, and 2007 at his current salary of $53.

      4.5.3 - The Contracted Player may be released at any time, but the owning team will be penalized the amount of the contracted player's normal salary increase (only the increase, not the entire salary) for the each remaining of the contract. Example : after the 2005 season, Todd Helton is proclaimed King of Albania and leaves baseball for Tirana to assume the throne. When he is cut by the Whitecaps, they will suffer a waiver penalty of $8 in 2006 ($53 * .15 = $7.95, rounded up to $8) and $10 in 2007 ($61 * .15 = $9.15, rounded up to $10).

      4.5.4 - Any team which signs two players to Long Term Contracts in one off-season may not sign any in the following off-season.

      4.5.5 - Once the Contracted Player's contract expires (three complete seasons after signing the contract), he becomes a free agent and must be released prior to the Free Agent Draft. His current team may not retain him (unless they bid on him in the draft, like everybody else).

      4.5.6 - A new owner taking control of a team is permitted to cut without penalty any player with an existing LTC.

AL LCS - Anunnaki vs BDM

Game 1 - Homers by Buxton and Grandal stake the home squad to a 3-0 lead but the Beings storm back to tie it in the 7th.  JD Davis then hits a leadoff homer in the 8th and UCity holds for a 4-3 win.  Game 2 - A back-and-forth affair sees BDM score runs in the 7th and 8th to tie it up, but again the 8th is their donwfall as Schoop knocks in 2 with a two-out single and Buxton goes deep again and UCity wins game that was much closer than the 9-4 final.  Game 3 - Mercado gives the Sideburns an early 1-0 lead with a homer but then absolutely everything goes wrong for Mattingly.  The home team pitchers walk 10 men in the first five innings, and Rojas and Buxton go deep, before Alonso finishes it off with a grand slam in an ugly 12-3 game.  Game 4 - Stunningly, Buxton goes yard in the top of the first and Avisail Garcia notches a sac fly to make it 2-0.  That would be all the UCity pitchers would need as BDM pushes across a run in the 6th but sees a rally peter out in the 8th after a failed sac bunt, and Louis Head gets a six-out save to advance the Anunnaki to the World Series with a 2-1 win.
