Series 09
Greg Tamer - April 06, 2014 09:19PM
TRHL Owners,

Series 08 has been completed.

Still need owner for abandoned Damage. Ask your friends.

NOTICE #1 - Shane Peach (Indians) has asked that someone sim/play his home games for him these days while he takes care of extenuating circumstances in real life. I'll gladly monitor his MP and sim his games, unless any one objects given we're in the same division. If an AL team would like to control his team for a bit, let me know. Thanks!

NOTICE #2 - Likewise, I'll do the same for the Damage, so they do not go awry while they are ownerless. They're in the AL, so no conflict of interest there for me. I will not be processing any transactions for them, though, unless playing time is urgently needed.

Results not submitted:
Stogies @ Damage (**)
Snowshoe Hares @ Indians (*,**)
Canons @ Rabid Dogs
Sledgehammers @ Hawks
Clowns @ Chinook (*,**)

(*) - Backup results submitted
(**) - Notified in advance

Automatic farmings due to overuse: None

Transactions:
Outlaws sign Chris Colabello ($6), Travis Ishikawa, and Jose Valverde, release Jeremy Affeldt, Michael Roth, Jake Dunning, and Keith Butler.

Injuries (> 3 days):
4/26 IND Zimmerman 10 (Damn it!)
4/28 BUR Jaso 15
4/28 TBD Saunders,J 10

MP Issues: None observed.

Series 09 league file has been posted and the League File link on the website has been updated. Here's the link:

FireDogs Outlaws
Bill Liming - April 07, 2014 07:25PM
Outlaws pitching continues to dominate at home with a team ERA in Coors of 2.13, and a 15-0 home record. 27 games into the season, the Outlaws are on the verge of opening up the first double-digit division lead.

EDIT: Outlaws MP will actually need some adjustments, which I'll do after the league file comes out.

Chinook two narrow wins over Hares
pdolwick - April 08, 2014 08:03PM
G1: Cliff Lee has to leave due to injury in the 4th, but Chinook pen finishes his shutout. Matt Holliday provides the game's only offense w/ a solo HR in the 8th. Chinook 1 Edmonton 0.

G2: Jose Fernandez pitches one of the best games of TRHL 2013 w/ a 2-hit, 15K CG shutout. Hares get 3 walks and two singles in the 4th to scratch out two runs off Felix Hernandez. Edmonton 2 Thunder Bay 0.

G3: Finally some offense. 5-5 going into the 8th. Matt Adams homers to put TBC up 6-5, but Anthony Varvaro and his "Tough" rating blows yet another lead in the top of the frame when Quentin doubles in Goldschmidt. Fortunately, Matt Adams comes up in the 10th and hits a 3-run walkoff off Peralta to win it. TBC 9 EDM 6 (10).

Chinook hitters are seriously underperforming (except for Matt Adams). TRHL OPS vs. MLB OPS.

Puig: .542/.925
Hardy: .437/.739 (Hardy never hits in DMB.)
Uribe: .472/.769
Holliday: .665/.879
Molina: .669/.836
Johnson: .669/.815

Ridiculous. Roughly 100 PA each.

Enough complaining, I guess. My MP is ready for Series 10.

Canons at Glovers
Ryan Jones - April 09, 2014 05:41PM
Game 1: Glovers get to Niese early, in a 7-3 win

Game 2: A pitching duel between Kershaw and Holland, which ends in a 1-0 victory for the Canons.

Game 3: Quintana does well, but Chacin does better, as the Canons win 2-0.

Lowrie goes 7 for 14 in the series, making the Glovers manager wish there was a "Throw at batter" option.

Whitecaps at Breakers
Mike Jeziorski - April 09, 2014 07:41PM
Miguel Cabrera's solo shot guided Cole Hamels to a 5-4 victory in the opener, then the Breakers battered the Halifax pen to take the next two 8-3 and 8-2.

The Breaker MP is set for Alston.

Hawks @ Pale Hose
JiminMaine - April 10, 2014 05:06AM
Pale Hose score 3 in the first and make a winner out of Cosart (4-0) with a 6-2 victory; Hose score 1 in the ninth to win 4-3 [Hyun-Jin Ryu was injured for this game and 10 more days]; Hose hold on to win another 4-3 game but the injuries are piling up [Alex Gordon was injured for this game and 5 more days].
