MP for Wolverines. 12 of 15 games on the road -- I knew we shouldn't have scheduled the circus into Higglytown Park!

Caps MP for Sledgehammers series.

The Breakers got off to a 4-0 lead but powered by HRs from Dirks and Plouffe the Hose came back to win 8-4 with Diamond improving to 6-2 while Lewis fell to 8-5.

Heyward doubled in Fowler in the 15th as the Breakers won 7-6.

Despite giving up 2 runs in the 9th innings the Hose hold on to win 6-5 ... strange game with McCarthy getting the save. Needless to say the Pale Hose pitching staff is trashed after this game/series and there will be a shake-up before the next series with the Whitecaps.

Heroes take 2 of 3 from Wolverines

Hares with a much needed sweep in an interesting series.

In Game One the Hares had five guys out on the bases. The Pirates picked three runners off first, threw out another at second, and another runner at home. Liriano (Hold move Fr) picked off Goldschmidt in the second, Goldschmidt was thrown out at home by Kubel in the third, Trout was caught stealing in the sixth, Wright was picked off by Isringhausen (Hold move poor) in the seventh, and Goldschmidt (again) was picked off by Isringhausen (two pick offs in two innings for Mr. poor hold move) in the eighth. In between Cespedes was picked off by Wilton Lopez, so four guys were picked off first in one game.

To top it off the good guys still won when Trout led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk off Axford and then Pierzysnki hit a walk-off 2-run HR (his 22nd on the season) to win the game. After a dreadful April, Pierzynski has hit 330/364/649 with 17HR the past two months.

Game two was an ordinary game, and then in game three the Pirates made five errors and the Hares had 16 hits but it was still reasonably close because the Hares left the bases loaded in the second and the third, and 13 runners for the game. They still won 7-3 but it felt closer than that.
