Uehara gives up a PH 2-run HR to tie the game with two outs in the 9th of game 1, Chen and 7 relievers combine for a win in Game 2, and an Adrian Gonzalez HR in the 8th makes the difference in game 3.

Chen has a huge reverse split.

There wasn't a note in your post here, so I didn't look for extra lineups. I thought the people who made those sorts of adjustments listed specifics for it when posting MPs, since most teams don't usually make those level of tweaks. Given the batting splits of the lineup that the CM used, it wouldn't have occurred to me to look in the moment.

It's one of only 3 lineups I have. Why wouldn't it be used against Chen? He's one of the most extreme revers guys out there.

I always look at people's lineups and pick the tailored one if they have it. Aren't we supposed to do that?

It wasn't like I did it intentionally. I never look at lineups unless there are instructions included, and though I try to pay attention to rotations for being broken, I don't always remember to do that. I also only rarely include specific lineups to be used myself these days, usually only to make sure a catcher gets rested, because most people don't look at extra lineups (and even when instructions are included they often get ignored). When I do make a specific adjustment, I highlight it in the instructions here and/or via e-mail.

The net difference in the average OPS matchup between the two lineups with Chen pitching, that is (Chen's OPS allowed + the hitter's OPS)/2), is .018 in favor of the inverse lineup, which is probably meaningless relative to all the park factors involved (which I could figure out, but I just don't want to plug all the names into Excel to sort it out right now).

Given the expanded rosters, it's pretty trivial to game platoon split stuff in home games anyway, but if you want me to replay the games over this, just let me know.

Actually, given the injury to Perez in game 3 that would be erased, we should probably get a commissioner ruling.

I think the default course of action is to use Saved Lineups 1 and 2 unless special instructions are provided via this message board or e-mail.

Bill, I'm not saying you did it on purpose. But t it's still a big impact.

FWIW, I've always just set everything for my opponents to Computer when starting a sim unless instructed otherwise (so I don't select anything for my opponents). If that's not the standard course of action, we should probably spell that out somewhere.

My time is very limited these days, so I've already replayed the series from scratch. I'll submit whichever set of results you and/or Greg think is most appropriate.

Uehara again blows game 1 in a 3-2 Mattingly loss, though this time the Harper hit actually comes off Logan and is a walk-off.

Chen throws 7 innings and combines with two scrubs for the shutout in game 2.

Darvish throws a 3-hit shutout in game 3.

That is what I do, and then on the pitcher selection screen for each game I check to make sure the SP is rested. If not, I go back in and try to figure out what's up.

That, of course, all depends on the "unless instructed otherwise" factor.

Game 1: Detwiler is effective, and the Glovers bats are able to put up 6 runs against Hellickson and Clippard, in a 6-2 Glovers win.

Game 2: Stultz throws 6 solid innings, and both Baker an Napoli homer for the Firedogs in a 7-3 win.

Game 3: The Glovers get to Peavy (after the Firedogs get to Quintana) and pull out a 7-4 win.

Glovers win the series 2-1.

Marauders continue their late surge, running their winning streak to 11 including consecutive shotouts in Games 2 & 3.

FWIW, I do what Craig does when hosting. I would not make any decisions for the visiting team other than replacing a tired starter or catcher unless specifically instructed to do so. In Bill's position I would not have offered to replay the series.

Austin Jackson was injured for 15 in G2. Ugh.
