Tight series, but BDM wins all three. Nelson injured for 15 days.

Hamilton takes 2 of 3

Brockton pulls out rubber game against tough hose.

Clowns don't score for first 17 innings and lose all three games by 5 runs. Not the tight series the Canons were expecting - can we play you every week? :-)

Whitecaps take 2 of 3.

Siskiyou results attached. Thunder Bay takes two of three.

Siskiyou wins Game One 5-2. This was supposed to be a gimme game, as I started Rafael Montero, my normal mop-up map. But Eddie Rosario hit two home runs, and Givens, Neshek, and Osuna did what they do, and yay, win.

Game Two went to Chinook. Gray pitched well, with just a pair of runs over six and two thirds, and Quintana did not, giving up five over six and two thirds. Conforto hit a pair of two run home runs, and Alex Bregman knocked one out too. Two too.

Game Three saw the visitors shut out Siskiyou 3-0. We managed only five hits, though Rosario had three of them. Conforto hit another home run, this one a solo to add on in the eighth, as Gregorious and Kepler knocked in the other two. Cotton had a fine star, all things considered, with the three runs on six hits in eight innings. Walked three, but struck out eight. Those last couple walks were just because I spaced and let him throw 117 pitches, so really not a bad start. Nola, on the other hand, was pretty excellent: complete game shutout on five hits, two walks, six strikeouts, 119 pitches thrown. So, yeah. Hard to win against a complete game shutout. Thunder Bay takes the series.
