With six games to go, the playoffs are almost set, with just one battle for division title between two playoff-bound teams. So we'll have the following.

AL: Terriers (4) vs. Being Don Mattingly (1) and Heroes (3) vs. Breakers (2).
NL: Outlaws are (1), FireDogs (3), Chinook and Marauders battling for (2) and (4).

Every season, this is ridiculous. We need a different structure. Like using the replacement-level system. Or more active owners.

Any promotions by the file drone can be changed prior to the playing of the current series' games, and the re-farming does not count toward the three farm limit. File drone promotes to players to ensure active roster is at mandatory 25 players.

MP Issues:
NOTE - Given last series, given SPs farmed not needed, given only Pirates-Marauders and Chinook-Hares series really matter, I'm going to be relaxed on the 25-active-roster rule if the roster looks reasonable for a three-game series. For example, has three SP ready to go, a handful of RP, at least one catcher, etc.

1. Terriers with only 24 active roster players. Good to go.
2. Sledgehammers with 9 pitchers on active. Good to go.
3. Clowns with 24 on active roster. Good to go.
4. HawkRocks with 8 pitchers on active. Good to go.
5. Rogers with 24 on active roster. Good to go.
6. Diamond Jaxx with 23 on active roster but plenty of pitching. Good to go!
7. Pirates, Marauders, Chinook, and Hares all good to go.

MPs ready for Series 54: Breakers

Series 54 league file is attached and has been posted and the League File link on the website has been updated. Here's the link:

Game dates: September 29th-October 1st, Whitecaps and Rotisserie are home, Rogers and Breakers are away.

Visiting team MP deadline is Monday, October 29th, 10 AM EDT. Series results are due Tuesday, October 30th, 10 PM EDT.

Portland sweeps

Anderson and Miley are scheduled to go on short rest despite potentially being tired.

I don't have time to play HTH, but would honestly prefer to control my team rather than have the CM do so, if for no other reason than to manage pitching usage heading into the post-season. LMK if you'd be OK with me submitting a backup (and if you want to send me an MP for it), so that I can keep the relief usage of the post-season useful guys under control.

BDM plays as if the digital players know these games are meaningless. Heroes take all three, 11-4, 4-2, 13-10.

Rotisserie wins Game One against Verlander, but drops the last two.

I have a bad habit of accidentally letting relievers bat in the bottom of the ninth of a losing game, so it's fitting that our season ends with Mychal Givens striking out.

Guess it's time to fire the manager again.

The Whitecaps have not submitted a home series in some time, so I played a backup and had the great pleasure of being swept for the second straight time by a sub-.500 team without a manager. It does not bode well for a long run in the playoffs.
