MPs ready for Series 19: Chinook, Clowns

Games Dates: June 2nd - June 4th. Halos are home, Whitecaps, Breakers, and Rogers are away.

Visiting team MP deadline is Tuesday, June 12th, 10 AM EDT. Series results are due Wednesday, June 13th, 10 PM EDT.

Chinook take 2 of 3 vs. Wagstaffs

Halos look rejunvenated by the management change, taking game 1 in a tight 3-1 contest, decided by a HR from new acquisition Pablo Sandoval. But then they reverted immediately to form and dropped the next two, 11-1, 6-1.

Rotisserie takes two from the Clowns.

Game One was settled by the end of the Fourth, 4-2 in favor of Siskiyou.

Game Two was a heartbreaking loss for the home team as the Clowns win 4-3. Siskiyou got the first two runners on in the ninth, to set up the heart of the order, but Jansen set 'em down, and that was that. Gio Gonzalez had a no-hitter through 5 2/3. , finished after 6 2/3 allowing two runs, on three hits, though walking five against just three Ks.

Game Three looked like a blowout, as Feldman loads the bases in the first, mercifully escaping allowing only two runs. Then the home team offense comes alive, scoring two in the second, and three in the third, without any home runs. The visitors made it close in the eighth when I wasn't paying attention and allowed Feldman to throw 122 pitches, but fortunately I have a shut down bullpen, so we held the game at 5-4. If I'd removed Feldman before the start of the Eighth, he'd have been 2 runs in seven innings, which is sweet for Scott Feldman. But I didn't, so he's four runs in eight innings. Still got the win.

MP Ready for Series 20

Rich Hill misses a perfect game in the series finale due to an IF single from Robinson Cano leading off the 6th, throws 8 1-hit innings instead and ends up combining with Pedro Strop to face the minimum (as Cano was immediately retired on a GIDP).

BDM takes first two. Maine is without a rested SP for G3.

Want to give Jim a chance to make an emergency move.

Breakers take 2 of 3

A Brian Goodwin pinch-hit solo in the 5th the only score in game 1. Mike Leake, injured after 3, combines with the Canon bullpen for a three-hitter.

Game 2, Marauders go two and one better with a 3-0 Win and a two-hitter for Severino and the pen.

In Game 3 runs happen. Marauders get off to a flyer with 3 runs in the first. Andrelton replies for the Canons with a grand slam in the 4th and they extend the lead to 5-3 in the 5th.

A run in each of the next two innings for Munchen brings them level in the 7th only for the Canons to plate 3 (and leave the bases loaded) at the bottom of the inning. Munchen pulls one back in the 8th, but that is how it ended.

A close and fun series, a tie on runs scored (9) but a home win on games. Only bad news was an injury for Joe Mauer - out for two weeks.
