Terriers manage only 2 hits in game one. Whitecaps 4-0 behind strong outing from Kuroda.

Home team bats show up in game two and three as they stroke 29 hits enroute to 4-1 and 10-1 Alston wins. Fister goes the distance in game 3.

No injuries in series.

After the shocking sweep in the opening series, the defending champs lose game one to start the season with four straight loses (one more than the entire playoffs last year). They come back to win the next two, but not a good opening to the season for a team fans expect to repeat.

RIDICULOUS!

In 3 games, Havana hits .372/.398/.655 with 5 2b, 3 3b and 7 HR. Aces .302/.396/.578 with 7 2b, 2 3b, 7 HR and 5 SB. ERAs of 8.31 for Aces and 9.33 for Stogies. AND that's not all...

3 different players had multi homer games, including Rizzo swatting 3 in game 1. 8 players knocked in at least 3 in a game, McCann, Snider and Rendon had 5 RBI games.

Possibly the most ridiculous, considering the offensive firestorm, Hector Noesi pitches 4.2 innings, allowing just 3 hits, one run (hr of course) and had a K/BB of 3/0.

All of this in AT&T which is below avg offensively except triples.

Since it's Fantasy Baseball draft weekend, the games are simmed.

Pirates MP good for series 3.

Dodgers take 2 from Fire Dogs. Dodgers now 5-0 in games where pitcher bats 8th, 0-1 where pitcher bats 9th.

Canons sweep, in an impressive thumping of the Glovers. The Glovers drop to 0-6, in what was expected to be a rebuilding season.

Due to the same bug mentioned by Phil, I was unable to disable Hand. Matzek was promoted for the series, but Hand will require disabling by the commissioner for future series.

Hanley Ramirez's three-run shot in the tenth won the first game for Crescent Beach. The Hammers pummeled Brett Anderson and the bullpen for 18 hits in a 9-3 rout in game two. Hisashi Iwakuma rescued the last game and the series for the Breakers with a five-hit shutout, 4-0.

The Crescent Beach MP is ready for Halifax.
