Game 1, Leake takes a no-hitter and a 3-0 into the ninth - he was 2 for 2 with the bat as well. Then the inevitable single followed by a walk and the manager replaces him with Leone to close it out. A wild pitch and two singles later and we're tied at 3-3. Bottom of the tenth, a Goodwin double followed by Andrelton's single sees the home side over the line.

Game 2, this time the Firedogs with the no-hitter chance and a 3-0 lead but only as far as the fifth, although a double play following Jose Martinez's single does the job almost as well. However a Sanchez single, an Andrelton double and a throwing error sees the Canons claw back a run. Then the Firedogs restore the three-run advantage next inning. Bottom of the eighth and a Moreland homer scores two. Bottom of the ninth, trailing 3-4, Goodwin on first, two out and Gary Sanchez at the plate 2-2. Boom. 4-3 Canons

Game 3, and another three run lead. 3-0 to the Canons after five. A Thames homer brings it back to 3-1 and a Margot homer restores the advantage in the eighth. Anyone expecting a big comeback in the ninth is disappointed as Leone closes it out with a groundout to short and two Ks.

Very fortuitous home sweep.

Still think EDM is a playoff team. Hares pound Chinook 8-0 and 4-1 in first two. Great starts from John Lackey and Miguel Gonzalez. Chinook avoid the sweep by getting 15 hits in 7-1 victory behind Jose Berrios.

You don't win a lot of games where you spot your opponent 7 runs in the first, but just to be sure the Outlaws also managed to strand 9 while still grounding into 5 DP to lock down the L in game 3.
