Game

Newly acquired Jordan Zimmerman plays the Dave Stieb card, losing the no-hitter with two outs in the ninth inning when Juan Pierre lined a ball off of David Wright’s glove for a double. Still a pretty good game for Zimmerman who along with the 92 pitch shutout he hit a solo homerun. That must have been a tidy WPA. Hares win 5-0.

Game Two

Anibal Sanchez pitches great for the Pirates for five innings, holding the Hares to only two hits. In the sixth, with the Pirates leading 2-0, he falters a little allowing a triple off the wall to Mike Trout followed by a two-run HR from Robinson Cano. The Hares score another in the seventh and the much maligned bullpen, which had blown late inning leads to lose games in 7 of the last 12 games (you read that right, the Hares are 5-7 in their last 12 and all seven losses involved the bullpen giving up the lead) throws three shutout innings to preserve the one run lead.

Game Three

Juan Pierre leads the game off with a homerun off of Juan Nicasio. Yes, that Juan Pierre, who had 4 hits to go with two stolen bases in the series and is currently hitting 338/378/472 in over 200 plate appearances. If that weren’t enough Pierre also threw two runners out at home. Hares answer back with two of their own in the bottom of the inning highlighted by a run scoring double from Cano off of Clay Buchholtz.

Nicasio’s high pitch count means he only makes it through four innings, leaving the game with the game tied 3-3 in the hands of the bullpen. The Hares load the bases in the third, and put two men on in the fourth and fifth but only get one run out of it. Finally, in the top of the seventh pinch hitter John Buck hits a homerun of Jeremy Affeldt to give the Pirates the lead again. Moreland hits another homerun off of Tanner Scheppers in the eighth. The Hares scratch one back in the bottom of the eighth but Soriano mows them down in the ninth. Score another loss for the bullpen though this one owes as much to the runners left on base.

Isotopes take the first game, Heroes the next two.

Outlaws have their chances to sweep but have to settle for 2 out of 3 again.

Game 1: Morton throws five good innings for the Glovers, with a sixth bad one mixed in the middle, as the lefty heavy BDM lineup runs up a five spot in the second on the way to a 5-2 win.

Game 2: Glovers sneak out a 3-2 win, as Holland barely outduels Shields.

Game 3: The Glovers go off for five runs late, as Rivera, Ueherea and Marshall all can't put away the Glovers in the 8th. The Glovers steal an undeserving 7-5 win, and take the series 2-1.

Fun Fact: Papelbon has now allowed 9 homers, but only 3 walks, resulting in terror every time he has to protect a one run lead.

No matter what I do, I can't get this league file installed. I get unable to rebuild database index every time I try installing the file. I tried loading an ol file and get the same thing. I tried reinstalling the entire program, then the league file...no dice. I know this computer sucks, but I've always been able to play before. Any ideas?

I've applied the 10a patch as well. I get the same damn message. I have no clue here.

Stogies sweep struggling Aces. I had turn McAfee off to download the file, then, for some reason, it worked. Makes no darn sense to me.
