TRHL Owners,

What's the TRHL record for home wins?
Bill Liming - May 01, 2014 03:02PM
Pre-season favorite Marauders visit the wrecking yard that is Outlaws Field at Coors...

Game 1: Tyson Ross hits Marauders lead-off hitter Shane Victorino in the face with the first pitch of the game, setting up the metaphor for the series, Victorino's out for 38 days. Ross then settles in to K 10 in 6.2 while giving up just 3 hits and the Outlaws offense puts up 13 hits (6 XBH) and 10 runs for a 10-2 Outlaws victory.

Game 2: Jordan Lyles gets off to another solid start, but with a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third, the Outlaws manager senses blood in the water and PH for him with 2 on and 1 out. The gamble pays off as the Outlaws plate 6 more runs in the inning capped by a Lucas PH 3-run HR. Collmenter throws 5 shutout innings to keep the early hook from decimating the bullpen, and combined with a scoreless inning from Chavez, the Outlaws throw a 9-0 shutout.

Game 3: Like Lyles, Tim Hudson gets yanked early, though this time it's due to throwing a clunker, 6 R in 4 IP. The early hook does contribute to the Outlaws tying the game at 6 though, and Lucroy's 2nd triple of the game in the 7th gives the Outlaws the lead before David Carpenter gives up the only run of the series allowed by the Outlaws pen (in 13.2 IP) to knot it back up. The bottom of the 8th brings a Blackmon single, 2 SB and an error by Pena to plate the go-ahead run, followed shortly by a Gonzalez 3-run HR to ice things, and the Outlaws take an 11-7 win in the finale.

Outlaws have now outscored the visiting team 173-70 in Coors en route to a 26-1 home record. Outlaws MP should be good to go for the next series, please use lineup #5 (Darvish) in game 1 when Darvish is the SP.

Pride goeth before a fall, Arthur. I once set a whole pile of TRHL records in Coors Field en route to the best regular season of all time in this league. I lost in the first round. Let's keep pur powder dry...
TRHL Record for home wins
craigburley - May 03, 2014 10:10AM
Since Bill was asking, the TRHL record for home wins in a season is 68, by Minnesota Fatboys (Aaron Gleeman) in 2002. That was the same year as that aforementioned Whitecaps team (125-37, we were 67-14 at home and 58-23 on the road. 58 wins remains the road record).
Hawks-Heroes

Hawks ride Bumgarner to win a 1-0 gem in the opener, but the hosts rally to take the next two and the series. For the record, I think it unlikely that Higglytown will challenge the record for home wins this year.

Stogies take two of three.

I still have Curtis Partch, Guillermo Quiroz and Jesus Sucre on my roster. I thought I cut them weeks ago. Obviously, they weren't activated. Can you drop them? I know they were gone for a couple of league files and then they magically reappeared.

Showshoe Hares at Glovers
Ryan Jones - May 04, 2014 07:01PM
Game 1: Glovers edge out a 5-4 win.

Game 2: Hares win 3-2 in extras, as Lough hits a pinch hit homer off of Papelbon

Game 3: Fernandez walks 5 in the first two innings, but the Glovers only get 2 runs out of it. The Hares offense then lights up Strasburg for 3 homers (two by Jones), on the way to an easy 10-2 win.
