Home team has yet to win a game in a series the Outlaws currently lead 3-2.

Wilson Betemit and Bryan LaHair are a combined 1-35.

James Shields with a 2-hit, 11 K shutout in Game 3.
Huston Street 2 perfect IP in game 2, out for the rest of October no doubt after straining his earlobe or something equally rediculous
Teams have combined to strike out 100 times in 92 IP

Outlaws management has engaged Jobu to manage game 6 at home, plans to enlist Kiefer Sutherland and President Palmer for game 7 if necessary.

Here's the Canadians' MP for series vs. Maine. It should be a tightly contested showdown.

In typical Coors fashion, the Outlaws use the only XBH of the game, a Pagan double, and a SH to setup a 2-out, walk-off single by Cano in a 1-0 win to advance to the NLDS.

Outlaws score 2 runs in 3 games in Coors while going 1-2 at home.
Clowns bat 168/248/260 in the series in spite of matching the Outlaws in HR, and winning the XBH battle 11-9.

James Shields wins NLDS MVP for breaking the Outlaws 6-game post-season losing streak with his game 3 2-hitter.

At least the games were played in about 15 to 20 minutes apiece, if that. Good luck to the Outlaws!

TRHL LCS - Burlington Firedogs vs Cole Harbour Indians

Game 1 - Firedogs (AJ Burnett 8-13) at Indians (David Price 22-4)

Both starters put up zeroes for the first three innings. The Firedogs broke out and put up a crooked 5 in the 4th on a grand slam by Jonny Gomes and an RBI single by AJ Burnett.

The Indians came back with 2 runs in the bottom half of the 4th on a Ryan Doumit 2-out 2-RBI single.

Both teams scored a couple of single runs but the Firedogs held on when Segio Romo got David Freese to fly to left with 2 on to end the game.

Firedogs 7, Indians 4.



Game 2 - Firedogs (Michael Fiers 11-3) at Indians (Gio Gonzalez 15-5)

The Indians jumped out on Michael Fiers when Tyler Colvin hit a 3-run homer in the 1st and Ryan Doumit drove in a run in a 2-run 3rd.

In the end, Gio Gonzalez stymied the Dawgs on 4 hits while striking out 13 on way to a complete game win.

Indians 9, Firedogs 1.



Game 3 - Indians (Adam Wainwright 13-12) at Firedogs (Mark Buehrle 15-7)

The Indians took an early run on a solo homer by Edwin Encarnacion in the 1st. But the Firedogs tied it in the second on John Jaso's RBI double in the 2nd and took the lead on Aramis Ramirez 2-out RBI single in the 3rd.

Both starters settled down and Sergio Romo survived a baserunner that got to 3rd in the 9th before getting Ryan Doumit to popout to SS.

Firedogs 2, Indians 1.



Game 4 - Indians (Wade Miley 11-10) at Firedogs (Cole De Vries 11-3)

The Firedogs took an early lead in the 1st on an RBI single by Albert Pujols and an RBI double by Jonny Gomes. Pujols extended the lead with a solo shot in the 3rd.

De Vries kept The Indians in check until they scored 2 in the 6th on an RBI double by Edwin Encarnacion and a ph RBI single by Allan Craig.

The Indians then took the lead with 3 in the 8th on another Encarnacion RBI, followed by a Ryan Doumit RBI fielders choice and an Elvis Andrus RBI single.

Things looked bad for the Firedogs - down two in the 9th - but with a runner on 1st and a run in with two out, Indians manager called on Jason Motte and his reverse splits to face Josh Hamilton but he turned an 0-1 fastball around and deposited it deep into the right field stands to snatch victory from certain defeat.

Firedogs 6, Indians 5.



Game 5 - Indians (David Price 22-4) at Firedogs (AJ Burnett 8-13)

A rematch of game 1, David Price had the task of staving off elimination but the Firedogs had different ideas as Aramis Ramirez slammed a 3-run homer in the 1st followed by a Derek Jeter solo shot in the 2nd to give the Firedogs 4-0 lead.

The Indians chipped back with single runs in the 4th (Doumit RBI single), 5th (McCutchen RBI single) and 8th (Eric Young PH RBI fielder's choice). But Jim Johnson got Doumit to ground out with runners on the corners to end the threat.

The Firedogs scored two insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th before Johnson closed the series in the 9th.

Firedogs 6, Indians 3.



Congrats to Shane on a strong season. The number of just foul home run depth flyballs in this series would have been enough to turn the series around.

No time yet to write up the series in full, but the heavily favored Heroes and the Whitecaps played an epic seven-game throwdown, in which Felix Hernandez made three fine starts, all of which the Whitecaps won. This included the epic Game 7, culminating in a ninth-inning solo homer by Roger Bernadina to give the Whitecaps the game 3-2 and the series 4-3 (after a nervous ninth by my closers Marmol and Janssen).

Series MVP... Miguel Cabrera hit .417 with three homers (while his partner in crime Jose Bautista hit a mighty 1-for-27) but the series MVP goes to King Felix, 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA in 20 innings (14 hits, 8 walks, 17 Ks).
