Game One

Jose Fernandez pitches a complete game shutout, his third of the season, and David Wright hits a two run HR in the sixth. Hares win 2-0. The real news, though is that Stephen Drew tried to run Miguel Montero down at the plate in the second. He was gunned down to preserve the, then, tie score, but Montero was hurt for 22 days. Another injury for the Clowns.

Game Two

A stunner of a game. Teams go back and forth trading runs for five innings. Then with Figaro and Ohlendorf pulled, both bullpens throw four shutout innings to take us to extras.
Then things got interesting. In the bottom of the 10th, a flagging Bastardo walked two batters with only one out before inducing Sweeney to an inning ending double play.
In the top of the 11th, with Joel Peralta pushing the limits of his endurance, Cozart walked and Quintero singled before Ruf flied out. Jackson walked to load the bases with only one out. The Clowns brought in pinch hitter Ben Revere. Knowing the speedy Revere would be hard to double up the Hares brought the infield in. With the game on the line the Clowns manager called for a suicide squeeze. And suicide it was, as Revere popped the bunt up to the pitcher for a double play.
In the bottom of the 11th, the CM brings in Aroldis Chapman who appeared to be tired from the day before. He walked Doumit. Hares manager pinchhit with lefty masher Darnel McDonald. The Clowns manager, reacting to this move, and perhaps picking up on Chapman’s fatigue immediately pulled him and brought in Chris Withrow, the last man in the bullpen. The Hares countered with Ramon Santiago, brought in to execute the sacrifice bunt. With a man on second and one out, the Hares bring in the last man on the bench Anthony Recker to pinch hit for Cody Ransom. He walked, bringing up Mike Trout with two men on and one out. Trout lined a single to left center for the victory. Hares 5-4 in eleven.

Game Three

Jordan Zimmerman gets his second win for the Hares as they cruise to a 13-2 victory. Trout goes 4/5 (8/14 in the series) and drives in eight runs without hitting any homeruns.

Started out promising, 1-2 though. Got to see the future rotation with Salazar, Duffy and Gallardo pitching the 3 games

Bottom feeding Rabid Dogs manage to take two of three from Glovers in Mount Valley.
