The Hares and the Indians have a home and home series which, with the Indians holding a slim two game lead, will either cement the division title for the Indians or give the Hares their best chance to pull ahead

Game One was a classic. The Hares entered the bottom of the eighth trailing 4-2 despite outhitting the Indians 8 to 3. The Indians manager stretches Price into the eighth which proves to be a mistake. Escobar and Cano single to start off the inning and put the tying run on first, but Price bears down and gets the next two outs. The Hares bring pinch hitter Gimenez to the plate who fights off an inside fastball to bloop a single to left field. Ramon Santiago follows that up with a double that falls between Jackson and Calhoun as they look at each other hopelessly.

So it's 5-4 Hares heading to the ninth. Two quick outs later and it's looking like a nice win for the Hares but with the game in their grasp presumptive MVP Mike Trout drops the flyball that would end the game. Next thing you know Austin Jackson doubles and the game is tied.

Head to the bottom of the tenth and it is redemption time. With closer Jake McGee on the line and one out, Mike Trout, who was 0-4 with countless guys left on and that critical error, hits the walk off Home Run to left to win the game and bring the Hares within one of the division lead.


Game Two was another great game, this time of the pitcher's duel variety. Wainwright and Hahn went head to head for six innings holding each team to only one hit. In the bottom of the seventh Goldschmidt led off with a walk and advanced to second on a ground out. Escobar was walked intentionally to bring Hahn to the plate. The Hares pinch hit for Hahn and Lough rewarded the manager's confidence in him with a single to left to take a 1-0. Bullpen closes it out as the Hares take their second straight one run game to pull into a tie for the division lead.

Game three was another nailbiter with runs, and even hits, few and far between. Tied at one after two it was still tied at one in the bottom of the 11th when Matt Kemp hit a long fly ball to left that was knocked down by the 20 MPH wind and turned into a warning track fly out. Two innings later and Mike Trout at the plate and 0-5 for the day, the scenario plays out again but this time it has enough as the Hares win 3-1 in 13 innings to sweep the series on Trout's second walk off HR of the series.
