Three straight one run games. Clowns win two of them.

Starters should be Kennedy, Eickhoff, and Lamet. Please use the computer manager for selecting lineups.

Sweep by a surprisingly dominant Whitecaps team

Portland ekes out a surprising 6-5 victory in game 1. In game 2 I changed the Heros rotation and started Gaviglio since the scheduled starter on 3 days rest, Ray, was tired. Portland pounded Gaviglio and was leading 8-5 going in to the 7th inning when the Heros clubbed 4 HRs to score seven runs. The Heros won 14-9 clubbing 8 HRs in the game. The final game was no contest - the Heros clubbing 7 more HRs enroute to a 17-1 victory.

Portland has given up 87 runs and been outscored by 47 runs in their first 9 games. Under these circumstances, their 3-6 record looks pretty good.

BDM continues their rough start at home, dropping 2 of 3.

Maine takes 2 of 3 from Hamilton

Rotisserie results. We win 2, including a stirring late inning come from behind victor in game three. Feldman and Quintana both have great outings, pitching into the ninth. Second game was good for a while, then the Halos scored three in the Sixth and Four in the Seventh and that was that.
