MPs ready for Series 01: Clowns

Again, some rules of game play:
1. Do not play a series as the home team without first receiving a
season start MP from the visiting team owner. After Series 01, please
e-mail visiting owner if MP not listed as ready.
2. Always check the opposing team's rotation; pitchers should not start tired.
3. Honor system here; do not restart games once they've started unless
there is an obvious mistake discovered immediately upon starting
(e.g., see #2 above, you accidentally let a tired pitcher start for
opposing team)
4. You must have 25 active players at all time. No more. No less.

Visiting team MP deadline is Sunday, March 9th, Noon EDT. Series results are due Wednesday, March 12th, 11:00 PM EDT.

Outlaws cap sweep with 7th inning 10-spot to overcome a 6-run deficit in game 3.

Aces come out strong and take game 1 behind Morales 6 RBI! Then lose in 12 and get spanked in game 3 as Dejesus hits .900 for the series.

MP ready for series 02

G1: Chinook get to Wainwright early w/ 3 in the first. Added on 3 more over the rest of the way. Cliff Lee did the rest pitching 7.1 scoreless. Chinook 6-0.

G2: Complete opposite. Indians pounded F. Hernandez. Kole Calhoun's three-run blast made it 5-0 by the 4th. David Freese added a grand slam later. Meanwhile David Price was almost unhittable. 89 pitch complete game. Only a Calhoun error in LF prevented the shutout. Indians 10-1.

G3: See-saw rubber match. Chinook led 2-0 after a Matt Adams blast, but Indians used 3 solo HRs and an untimely R.A. Dickey error to edge into a 4-2 lead after 7. However, the Chinook sent 11 to the plate in the 8th, plating 7 of them to pull out a 9-4 victory. Chinook 9-4.

Fun to be playing Chinook ball again.

Hamilton's MP is good to go for the next series.

Miserable start to what looks like a lo-o-ong season for the Canons as BDM sweep.

Mount Valley takes two of three at home to take a closely contested opening series.

The opening series gets a long writeup. Future summaries will be terser.

Game 1: Scherzer vs. Iwakuma was a pitchers' duel punctuated by long balls. Scherzer fanned nine and gave up only three hits, but two cleared the fence. Pedro Alvarez broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the ninth with his own solo shot off Wrong-Turn Alburquerque.

Game 2: The Breakers knocked Mat Latos out early and won 9-3. Hanley drove in four; Beltran homered for the Terriers.

Game 3: Alston bashed Matt Moore for six runs in the third and were cruising 8-0 late. Crescent Beach emptied the bench only to find the scrubs fighting back. With lefty stud Glen Perkins on in the ninth, the Breakers got clutch hits from three straight hitters who are terrible against lefties to tie the game; the winning run was thrown out at the plate. Curtis Granderson's pinch double finally decided the game for Alston in the 14th.

Damage spoil the home team's opening series by taking two of three one run contests.

Marauders ask for an opening series sweep and get one -- but apparently we forgot to specify whether we wanted to be the sweeper or the sweepee...
